For the world is deep beyond all measure of human encompassing. The depth of the world goes all the way through to the void, but the void is not there as a boundary, floor, or inward core of the world. The void is always beyond, always vaster and deeper than we can reach. We live our lives in and above these uncharted depths. We are like sequoias of being and of time. When we raise our heads to the sun, the forest floor is far below and our roots stretch deep into the dark earth. If we view our lives in time, our fundamental genetic forms stretch back in a continual chain of life for billions of years. If we look at the potential of our human awareness we find no limits, unbounded distances.
