Buying a DAVID device: shipping, duties, returns and warranty

Where can I buy a DAVID device in the United States or Europe?

On mindalive.org, an authorized dealer of Mind Alive Inc. for the United States and Europe. The manufacturer also sells through its own website, mindalive.com. Both sell the same devices, and both ship from Mind Alive Inc. in Edmonton, Canada.

Is mindalive.org the same company as Mind Alive Inc.?

No. Mind Alive Inc. in Edmonton designs and makes the DAVID devices. mindalive.org is run by Mindalive, a separate Dutch business owned by Yrian Brugman, which sells the devices as an authorized dealer. Details are on the About page.

What do the DAVID devices cost?

With the standard eyeset, in US dollars:

• DAVID Premier (with Spectrum eyeset): $994.99

Where does my order ship from, and how long does it take?

Every device ships from Mind Alive Inc. in Edmonton, Canada, by FedEx. Delivery usually takes 1 to 5 days. FedEx needs a signature on delivery, so someone has to be at the address. If you may be away, you can ask FedEx through the tracking page to hold the parcel at a pickup point.

What does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on orders over $500 to the United States and over $800 to all other countries. Below those amounts the shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay.

Will I pay import duty or VAT?

United States: the devices are made in Canada and every shipment carries a USMCA certificate of origin for duty-free entry. US customs can still occasionally charge a small import duty. If you receive a duty invoice, contact us before paying it.

Europe and the UK: the sale is an export from Canada, so the price does not include VAT. Your country charges import VAT on arrival, and FedEx collects it, with a clearance fee, before delivery. Businesses can have their company name and VAT number put on the invoice.

Can I return a DAVID device?

Yes, within 30 days of purchase. The device must be unused, in its original packaging and back with us within those 30 days. You arrange and pay for the return shipping, and the original shipping cost is not refunded. The full terms are in the refund policy.

What warranty do I get?

One year, from the manufacturer, on the device and eyeset. If something does not work, email us at mindalive.org@gmail.com; repairs are carried out by Mind Alive Inc. in Edmonton.

How can I pay?

By credit card or PayPal, or with Shop Pay, Google Pay or Apple Pay. In Europe, local methods such as iDEAL, Bancontact and Klarna are also offered. The checkout shows the methods available in your country.

Do therapists and clinics get a discount?

Yes. Practitioners can register on the practitioner page. After approval, practitioner pricing is applied automatically at checkout. Practitioners can also earn 10% on every client they refer.
