Which DAVID device should I choose?

Which DAVID device

There are four DAVID devices. All of them give light-and-sound sessions (AVE). They differ in the number of sessions, whether they also offer CES, and the eyeset.

What is the difference between the four DAVID devices?

The Delight Plus and the Delight Pro have the same 28 sessions; the Pro adds CES. The Premier has the largest session library, CES, the Spectrum eyeset and support for tDCS. Kits are sold separately.

Which DAVID device should I buy?

For light and sound at home, the Delight Plus has the full library of 28 sessions. Choose the Delight Pro if you also want CES, alone or together with light and sound. The Delight is the lowest-priced way to start, with 10 sessions. The Premier is mainly bought by practitioners and experienced users who want the widest range of sessions and colours. The device finder asks a few questions and suggests one.

What is AVE?

Audio-visual entrainment: flashes of light through an eyeset and tones through headphones, at a steady rhythm. Each session uses a set rhythm aimed at a state such as alertness, calm or drowsiness.

What is CES, and do I need it?

Cranio-electro stimulation: a very small current through two clips on the ear lobes. On the Delight Pro and Premier it can run alone or together with a light-and-sound session. You do not need CES to use the light-and-sound sessions. If you are unsure, the Delight Pro keeps the option open, because CES cannot be added to a Delight or Delight Plus later. See Delight Plus vs Delight Pro.

Which eyeset should I choose?

The standard eyeset is used with the eyes closed. The Viewhole eyeset is see-through, so you can use it with the eyes open. The Multi-Color eyeset adds coloured light. The Premier comes with the Spectrum eyeset, which can show a very wide range of colours. Eyesets can also be bought separately later.

Do I need a computer, an app or a subscription?

No. All sessions are built into the device. The device works on its own, without a phone, computer or subscription.

Who should not use a DAVID device?

Do not use the light-and-sound sessions if you have photosensitive epilepsy or a history of seizures. Do not use CES with a pacemaker or another implanted electrical device. If you are pregnant, on medication or unsure, ask your doctor first. The DAVID devices support relaxation and general wellness; they do not diagnose or treat any condition.

Can more than one person use the same device?

Yes. The device is not tied to one user. Because the eyeset and ear clips touch the skin, some households buy a second eyeset.
